What else do we need?

What else do we need?

What else do we need?

“Satisfied I take a zip of my red wine and turn my eyes back to my book. The radio in the background is playing some jazzy music which fits the atmosphere at the terrace perfectly. I also hear some soft and seemly background noise, of the people who are passing by and the birds who are cheerful flying from side to side. The sun which regularly shines through the clouds makes the setting complete.”

Perfection

Another moment which feels like perfection. But what is perfection? And does it exist? Well for me it does. I believe that people can make their own perfection. They can give their own association to the word.
In the dictionary you can find some ‘vague’ definitions of perfection:
“The quality or condition of being perfect.”
“The highest degree of a quality”
“The act or fact of perfecting”

But after reading that it’s still a question for me. So I’ve been looking around on the internet for some more information, or maybe I should just call it opinions about perfection. I ended up on a page with al kind of quotes. Most of the people think about perfection as a kind of top in a career. A kind of top which is too hard to achieve.
“If people reach perfection they vanish, you know.”
― T.H. WhiteThe Once and Future King
“If you look for perfection, you’ll never be content.”
― Leo TolstoyAnna Karenina
“Have no fear of perfection – you’ll never reach it.”
― Salvador Dalí
“Nobody’s perfect. We’re all just one step up from the beasts and one step down from the angels.”
― Jeannette WallsHalf Broke Horses
Somehow I agree with these opinions. We can’t be perfect because there’s no exact definition for perfection. If it is the ultimate top we indeed can’t reach it. And I think I don’t even want to reach it. Because what makes you feel better as just being yourself and being accepted by the people your beloved with. But we can see some situations as perfect. Although, I do see some as perfect. Some moments. Those moments where I can’t imagine it to be better. Where I don’t want to imagine it to be better. My moments of perfection. As described in the first phrases.

Small details

I’ve always enjoyed a lot of things, but now I can enjoy it even more. I just empty my head by walking around and take a look at the small details. From seeing some incredible architecture, to the water I hear flowing and people who I see smiling. The things some people may never see or hear from different perceptions, because they don’t try to see the world that way. And maybe it sounds strange the way I write it, but just try it. Enjoy what you want to enjoy and just live your own scenario. Because only what you like the most and the details that suit you can make things ‘perfect’ for you. Not what other people told you to be perfect. My definition of perfection is to see what your ultimate moments are. The moments you won’t wish to be better. The moments which are just ‘perfect’ to you.
